Tree Bending
Trees in the garden are bent in specific shapes to make the viewer appreciate and admire its beauty.
The scotch pine across from the Heritage tree exhibits the natural S curve which is highly preferred and considered to be very desirable in Japanese gardening. This tree will also be left in its’ natural state as opposed to others that will be trimmed in the Newaki Style, to achieve desired shapes.
